Just wanted to let you know, how much of a great time I had in my first sanctuary!

I’ve never really had any experiences with ‘visions’ so I was a bit sceptical. That being said, I went off to the beach to collect some pebbles (in the middle of a thunderstorm after work!), got back home, dried them all off, then wrote the symbols on.

So, for the first game I had the following results:

For space, I first saw a smallish lake. So had a look round and realised it was a big collecting pool for a waterfall that used to be much larger, but now has shrunk somewhat to being just 10 meters across. Around the shore of the lake was a smallish amount of sand at the shore. There was a river leading out, to rejoin what is now the main trunk of the river sweeping through the forest about 5 miles away.

For time, I discovered it was about 10 or 11am in the morning. The sun coming through the dappled shade of the trees was pretty hot, but not too over-powering. It was definitely summer.

For weather, it's hot and sunny with a few 'little fluffy clouds' dotted all over the place.

For landscape, this is clearly in the middle of a very large forest. There are mountains about 60 miles North-East of the Sanctuary, in the direction of where the river is flowing from. From a high-vantage point, I can just about see the ocean (South-West from here) - but it's about 80 miles away. I can also see the main trunk of the river (by the absence of trees) and also some of the main contributories.

For vegetation, I looked around expecting to see tropical plants - but they weren't tropical at all. Around the shores of the lake there was only about 5-10 meters of shortish grass before you hit the main forest. The trees were all quite different from each other, with many having quite thick trunks that curl their way into the sky.

For dwelling, I looked over at some of the thick tree trunks by the East side of the lake and thought I saw some kind of tree-house. So I went over to investigate and found there was a fairly big wooden structure built onto the side of the tree, with a couple of steps leading you through the decking and porch inside. So I went in to have a look round, and there was a smooth wooden floor. The inside of the dwelling was about 8m x 5m and you can see sunlight through the roof, where the logs hadn't been bound together tightly. There were facilities in there, like I found cooking facilities, comfy chairs & a big table. At the back of the dwelling was where the trees trunk was, and the inside had been carved out into a stair case. So I investigated upwards (and it was a good few meters up) when I stepped out onto a wooden balcony resting on the first branches of the tree. There, there was a sturdy looking rope bridge leading to a castle perched on a clearing next to the top of the waterfall! That's my dwelling. The tree house was just for fun! You know, things like sitting under the porch on a rainy day watching the drops of water hit the lake, or for storing stuff for a BBQ.

There is a ton more detail about my sanctuary that my mind has filled in for me. Things like in winter the lake freezes over and looking at the waterfall, it looks like time has stood still because it's frozen too.

ps: Just found a hot air balloon in my clearing next to the castle. Should be fun to have a really good look around!
